There is energy, excitement, collaboration, and community on our campus and in all that we do, and our photography should express that.
Our photography style is a key element in bringing our brand personality to life. The images we choose and create should evoke an emotional response for the viewer, allowing them to feel like a part of the Volunteer community. Making sure that orange is prominent in photos and including recognizable campus locations are a couple of ways to help images feel authentically UT.
Photo and Video Permissions
Is it OK to use likenesses of people in the photos and videos you take around campus in your communications? We’ve created guidance on the best practices for getting photo and video footage permissions to help you answer that question. For a copy of that guidance and a copy of our photo/video release form, email photos@utk.edu.
Getting Photography
The Office of Communications and Marketing develops and manages an online database of campus photography. Email photos@utk.edu for more information.
