Tennessee Orange

Others may wear the color orange, but for the University of Tennessee, orange is at the core of who we are.

Tradition holds that our iconic orange color was adopted from daisies that grew on the Hill in the nineteenth century. The shade has changed over the years, and today it is brighter and livelier than it was when UT first adopted orange and white in 1889.

Tennessee Orange is vibrant. Tennessee Orange is energetic. Tennessee Orange ties our community together. It is a symbol of our spirit and our tradition of excellence.

We wear it with pride. Our communications should wear it with pride, too.
